The central events of the ENHANCE project was eight workshops followed by a final conference in September 2007.
The workshops addressed the four research areas targeted in the project, namely: Enhancement of cognition, Mood, Physical performance and Extension of life span. There were two workshops on each topic (one in 2006 and one in 2007)

Arranged by The Faculty of Philosophy, University Vita Saluta-San Raffaele. Report.The first four workshops each addressed one of the four targeted research areas. The aims of the workshops are to discuss the ethical and social impacts of development within biotechnology that are heading towards enhancement of human capacities.
Speakers from within science, medicine and technology will be invited to the workshops to present the recent development within research and technology. Likewise, philosophers, ethicists and social scientists will be presenting the ethical and social issues of these emerging technologies.
The responses from the participants will be outlined in a workshop report.
